For my card today, I had to make a Christmas card using the Labrador die since I have a very special older tripod Labrador in my life named Midnight, and he needed to be represented.  Here is the man himself:

To make the card, I started with dark grey cardstock and then edged it with darker grey ink. If I had started with black cardstock, you wouldn't have been able to see any of the details. I also had to sponge some white ink on the muzzle because Midnight has become quite grey around the mouth as he has aged, and that had to be represented as well.

To finish the card, I had to add some accessories from the Labrador die set as well as a Santa hat for the season.

I would like to wish everyone the very merriest of holidays from myself and Midnight!

Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Release- Day 2

Greetings friends.  Today is day two of showing you a project using some of the new release of dies from Impression Obsession, which you can view here-  IO New Release

For today's card, I used then new Santa on Roof die as well as a sentiment from the Christmas Stitched Words die set.  The great thing about a solid silhouette die is that it is really easy to cut out and glue to a card.  I wanted a quick and easy card that could be replicated in mass quantities, so I glued my black silhouette to a blue watercolor background.  As a finishing touch, I popped up the die cut sentiment with some foam tape.

Llama Llove

Hi guys.  It was my turn on the Outside the Box blog today, so I shared one of their clear set images that includes several llamas with coordinating sayings.

I added just a hint of color around the clouds and the ground using my Zig Clean Color Brush markers and a waterbrush.  Sometimes I find that you don't need to color the entire sky or ground to give the impression that they are there.  Plus, it is much faster if you don't color the whole piece of paper!

If you want to see the full post, you can find it here.

I also released I forgot to share my last post from the Outside the Box blog on my personal blog.  For this card, I used the new penguin die as well as some of the new Valentine's Day dies:

If you want to find the entire post for that card, you can find it here.

Greetings friends.  Today is all about Halloween/Fall dies.  I really enjoy making Halloween cards, so today I chose to focus exclusively on Halloween and will show you Fall tomorrow.

For my first card,  I used a Candy Corn monster along with one of the new background dies.  Every year I can't resist making a candy corn inspired card despite the fact that I don't actually eat candy corn.  The monster's name is Cornelia D19290 and she was colored with Copic markers.  The new dotted background is called Circle Background DIE 456-YY and was colored with the same colors as the monster.  If Halloween isn't your thing, you could put any image you like in the center and add colored dots in the background.  I have a feeling that the dotted background could be used for pretty much any occasion.

Copic Markers- Y15 Cadmium Yellow, YR16 Apricot, Y38 Honey, C1 Cool Grey 1

My second card is probably the creepiest Halloween card I have ever made.  I have several friends who love the "Walking Dead" that I had in mind when I designed it.  It uses the new Zombie Edger DIE453-U die as well as the Drip Edger DIE451-I die.  I made the drip into blood, but it could just as easily be used to make paint drips or melting ice.  To finish the card I used the Turn Back B14481 sentiment.

Don't forget to follow the others on the hop!
