IO Product Focus- Clear Stamps

Greetings friends. Today the design team is sharing projects that focus on clear stamps. If you would like to see all the designers' projects, you can find them on the Impression Obsession blog.

Today I am sharing a card using the Get Well Soon clear stamp set that looks like this:

I don't know about you, but I always seem to need get well cards. To make this card, I stamped my bug in net in black Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers. I then masked it and sponged a stencil on the side for decoration. To finish the card, I added my sentiment from the same set as well as some epoxy stickers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Greetings friends. Today I want to share cards using a new clear set called Get Well Soon. I love having extra get well soon cards on hand and then hope that I don't need to use them. This is what the set looks like:

For my first card, I stamped out the dog and then colored him with Copic markers. I cut him out and then layered him onto a dark blue circle. I used more of that patterned paper for the stripes of the card
.

For the second card, I used the bug in a net from the same stamp set. I colored the bugs with Copic markers and added a hint of grey marker around each marker to make them "pop" off of the page. To finish the card, I added my sentiment with some foam tape and brushed a little clear sparkle pen to the wings to give them some pizazz.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Impression Obsession Die Cut Obsession

We have set aside a day to share some fabulous new Impression Obsession die projects! Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Greetings friends. I hope everyone is staying well, but perhaps you might need a card for someone who isn't. The Soup Bowl and Soup spoons dies work so well for this. Of course, it is a good idea to have some coordinating "punny" sentiments:

To make the card, I found a piece of watercolor paper in my scrap pile that I had sprayed with various colors of ink. The result wasn't my favorite, so it went in to my scrap pile to be used later. Never throw away background scraps! You can often die cut bits and pieces of them at a later date and just leave out the parts of the background you don't like.

I layered all of the pieces onto a background that I had stamped myself using Cover a Card backgrounds. I often like to pull backgrounds randomly from a pile and then layer them on top of each other to see what kind of results I get. The great thing about doing things this way is that you often get combinations you wouldn't dream of pairing together. I guarantee you I didn't start this card thinking I would use a giraffe background on a get well soon card, let alone pair it with a waves background. I liked the finished product though. One tip if you want to try creating random backgrounds for yourself...have one pile with more solid looking stamps and one with more detailed stamps. Draw a background from each pile to pair together. I have had better luck with this method than drawing two solid or two detail stamps to use together.

Thanks for visiting today!

Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Release Celebration- Plus Blog Prize!

Greetings friends!  Impression Obsession has an amazing new release dies that I know you are going to love  You can see all the new designs here-  IO New Release I will be posting a card today and tomorrow to give you some ideas of how to use the new dies.

For today's card, I wanted to use Ickie Sickie coordinating stamps and dies.  The set of stamps includes a robe, jammies, slippers, tea, tissues, etc.  Pretty much anything you need to make your get well soon cards.  I really love the bunny slippers and am excited about the coordinating dies.  I knew I would never cut  them out myself, but I thought they would look great popped up on a card.

Here is what the what the stamps look like.  The images that are shaded in grey show you which stamps have coordinating dies in the die set:

To make my card, I die cut the robe and bunny slippers and then stamped the coordinating images on top using black Memento ink.  I then colored the images with Copic Markers and popped up my bunny slippers with foam tape.  For my background, I used a Cover a Card Background called Tapestry 2 in yellow Versafine ink. Here is a close up of the card and markers I used:
