IO Team Favorites

Greetings friends. Today the IO team is sharing some of their favorite items from the March release. If you would like to see a full list of participating designers, you can find it on the Impression Obsession blog.

Today I am sharing two cards from my favorite new set called "Chicken In." This is what the set looks like:

For both cards, I used the same clear stamp set along with the coordinating dies. I also used patterned paper from the Vintage Garden pack.

Here is the second card:

To make each card, I cut out my images using the coordinating dies and then colored them with Copic markers. I then layered them onto my patterned papers using two very different configurations. I can't wait to send them as spring cards to my friends.

March Release- Day 1

Greetings friends. Today I am back with new bunny images to share. I am very fond of the new Rabbits, Rabbits Everywhere clear set because you can get very different looks from it. Here is the set:

Of course, I immediately had to make something with one of the crazy looking bunnies! For my card, I stamped my bunny onto kraft cardstock using a stamp positioner and black ink. I colored the bunny with colored pencils and then overstamped him with more black ink so that you could see the lines better. A stamp positioner is crucial for this.

Next, I masked the bunny and added some yellow and orange panpastel chalk to the corner. I stamped the edges with geometric designs and brown ink and then added some white and yellow colored pencil to the lines to add some extra dimension.

How about a very different bunny and a very different look from the same set?

For the second card, I used a bunny that I stamped and colored using Copic markers. I then cut him out and added him to some IO patterned paper and a die cut grassy hill. I then popped up a tag with a fun spring sentiment.

Theme Day- Easter

Greetings friends. It is time for another Impression Obsession theme day, and this time the theme is "Easter." The IO February release had some images that worked really well for the theme, so you might want to give them a look.

For my card today, I used images from the Easter Bunnies stamp set and combined them with their coordinating dies. I used paper from the Vintage Garden pack (green paper) as well as the Spring Scenes pack (sky behind the bunny).

To color the bunny and flowers, I used an assortment of Copic markers and then used the new Inside Out Rounded Square die to create the frame.

IO Team Favorites

There was a lot of really good product this release, but I really fell in love with the Easter Bunnies stamp set. It is just so cute!

For this card, I cut out my bunny with Xpress It Copic paper and the bunny die. I then colored it with copic markers and added it on top of some squares I cut using the Stitched Squares die set. The set includes the two squares as well as the tag die I used. I couldn't decide between the Vintage Garden and Prairie paper packs, so I used both for the card. To finish the card, I added my cut out sentiment as well as a twine bow.

Greetings friends. The new March release has......bunnies! I have to admit, I am a sucker for cute spring animals. Today I want to share a couple of samples from the new Easter Bunnies clear stamp set and coordinating dies. Here is what the set looks like:

For my first card, I cut out my bunny and some extra flowers. I then colored them with Copic markers and then added them on top of the new Inside Out Arch die. Did I mention that there are new paper packs as well? I used the new Vintage Garden pack for the card. The spring pack looks like this:

To finish the card, I added some of the patterned papers and popped up my sentiment with foam tape.

For my second card, I once again used the new bunny stamps, but I paired them with paper from the Prairie paper pack:

Isn't it pretty? I also added a couple of new dies. The tag is from the Stitched Squares die set and the striped background was cut using the Rounded Rectangle 2:

To color the bunny, I once again used Copic markers. I tried to match some of the markers with the colors of the patterned paper.

IO Team Favorites

Greetings friends. Today I am sharing a favorite from the February release. You have seen me use the Easter Squares a few times. It is definitely a favorite, but I also want to share a new Cover a Card background that I absolutely love. It is called Worn Linen, and this is what it looks like:

Isn't it wonderful? It is also so practical. It fills up space with a nice pattern that doesn't compete with whatever focal image you put on top of it. I stamped it in green for the spring, but honestly, I can't think of a season or occasion in which it wouldn't work. My mom is encouraging me to use it next in grey for a black and white card. Perfect.

For my Easter images, I stamped them in black Memento ink and then colored them with an assortment of Copic markers. This time I went with a green/brown palette instead of a typical Easter pastel. I liked the final look.
