Who doesn't like a good party? Today is all about celebrations of every kind. Last week I taught a class using Cover a Card backgrounds and PanPastel chalks. I always challenge my students to make cards with the backgrounds we create, so I am sharing the one I made into a finished card.
For the background, I used white cardstock and sponged it with three colors of PanPastels. I then stamped the Cells Cover a Card background (CC169) on top with Versamark ink and sponged the stamped background with the same three colors of chalks. It gave the background a nice tone on tone effect.
For the Party part of the card, I used the brand new All in One Frames Rectangle Die (DIE291-WW), which included both the frame and the oval on the card. I stamped a saying from the Let Them Eat Cake clear set (CL320).
For the drinks, I used dies from the Mixed Drinks die set (DIE185-H). I used Copic markers to color the outside of the glasses and used chalk scraps for the inside of the drinks. To finish the card, I added some sequins for sparkle. After all, it isn't a party without sparkle!
