Greetings everyone! Today's IO challenge is "clean and simple" cards. I thought I would share a card I recently taught in one of my classes. I used watercolor pencils and a waterbrush so that I wouldn't have to color every flower or leaf perfectly. The card is "quick and easy" as well as "clean and simple."
Paper:
Pink notecard
Ranger watercolor paper
Sayings- Impression Obsession Clear Set- CL329 Let them Eat
Cake
Background- Impression Obsession Cover a Card Sketchy
Flowers CC093
Cupcake- Impression Obsession Flower Cupcake C16017
Inks
Colorbox Chalk Pink Pastel
Black Versafine
Other Materials:
Spun Sugar Distress Marker
Waterbrush
Inktense Pencils- Crimson, Felt Green
3” circle punch (Purple Circle Punch)
Instructions:
·
Stamp the card with pink ink and large
background image.
·
Cut out circle from watercolor paper
·
Stamp cupcake and saying onto circle using black
ink
·
Outline the outside of the cupcake with Spun
Sugar Distress Marker
·
Blend the outline with waterbrush to soften the
edges
·
Let the outline dry before coloring the inside
of the cupcake
·
Color the center of each flower with pink
Inktense pencil
·
Blend the flowers with waterbrush
·
Trace the lines of the cupcake wrapper with pink
Inktense pencil
·
Blend with a waterbrush
·
