Well, I am off to Boston with Angela for a trade show, so I thought I should post something before I go.
I made this card a long time ago, and I can't remember if I posted it before or not. In any case, I still have some packing and last minute things to do, so an old card will have to do! The stamp is a gorgeous collage image from Stampington and Co. I love that it makes such a quick and easy card. I inked it with silver and indigo Pearl Ex ink and then stamped it onto white cardstock. I don't think many people have Pearl Ex ink pads, but they give a nice metallic shine. The downside of those pads is that you have to reink them a lot. I then added some fibers, a shell I inked with some of the indigo ink, and a layer of silver cardstock. Pretty darn simple!
I am very excited about the Sue Gillman show this weekend. It is an education and trade show for store owners and employees. I am scheduled to take a couple of classes with the Paper Cut, a class from a company I am not familiar with (Layers of Color), a class with Jennifer McGuire and Shari Carroll (yeah), several classes with Tim Holtz, and a class with Stampendous. Whew! I am also taking a workshop on Zentangle. Have you heard of Zentangle yet? If not, you can see examples here. I am really hoping to come back with lots of great ideas for classes.
For those of you who are interested (aka my mom), I plan to send a few Tweets while I am at the show that will be updated on my blog sidebar.
Have a great weekend!
