IO DT Challenge

Greetings! It is time for another Impression Obsession Design Team challenge. I sure do look forward to these challenges. It is always so much fun to see what everyone creates. This particular challenge was a color challenge, and we were to incorporate robin's egg blue, butter yellow, and spring green into our projects. For both of my cards, I used the Sweetbay paper pack from Memory Box because that pack just happens to use the colors of the challenge.

For the first card, I stamped Leigh Hannan's birdcages (F2336) onto some Sweetbay paper using black VersaFine ink. I then highlighted the birds and part of the cage with a yellow prismacolor pencil. To finish the card, I added some yellow pearls, a blue ribbon, and stamped a saying from the CL43 Anytime Sentiments set.

For my second card, I stamped the garden birdhouse (E6674) onto white cardstock using black Memento ink. I then colored it with various Copic markers (Y00, BG10, YG03, and W1). I added some of my blender pen over top of the yellow marker to lighten it and to give the birdhouse a more weathered look. I then cut out the birdhouse, glued it to some patterned paper, and attached some Sweetpea and Lemon Flower Soft to the branches and house to make it look like blooming flowers.

Need some more inspiration? Check out what Daniela, Deborah, Dina, Jeanne, Shirley, and Tina have created.

On an unrelated note, I have had several inquires about my new camera. I ended up getting the Canon SD1100 IS, and I am very happy with it. I use it for the photos for my blog as well as the videos I have started posting on my two sites. It really is a pretty good camera for the money.

I think both these cards are wonderful. They are both so pretty and soft in colour.

I don't normally like Flower Soft very much but I especially like the way you have used it on your 2nd card.

As this is my first visit to your blog I haven't time to leave a comment on all your beautiful creations today but I will be a regular visitor in future.
