IO Graduation Hop

 For my card today, I wanted to challenge myself to do something other than a cap, gown or diploma. I didn't want to give up the graduation year though because when I graduated, I had my "class of" number on everything.

I decided on my fortune cookie set for the card. I will even admit that I spent WAY too much time trying to decide which fortune in the set I wanted to use. After all, any graduate probably is more interested in the cash inside rather than the card design.

After I stamped and die cut my fortune cookie, I added a bit of shading with Copic markers. I then added a little slit in the side so I could slide a bit of the fortune inside the cookie.

For the background, I used some of the new Stars and Stripes paper.

IO Challenge- School Spirit

Hi everyone!  Today is all about school spirit, colors, graduation, etc.  I took the opportunity to start with a card that celebrates where I went to college.  Go Hoos!  I graduated from the same university as the owner of Impression Obsession, so there just happens to be an IO stamp that features the University of Virginia.  I realize that the Rotunda (H1952) might be a niche market, so I also made a card that would be good for graduations.  You could change the colors of the card depending on the school colors of the recipient.  Both cards were made using Peerless watercolors.

I have used the Book Cap design (G2335) pretty much every year as my go-to image for gruaduation cards.  It is a great stamp for coloring!

IO Challenge- Encouragement

Hi all. For some reason, Blogger isn't letting me add breaks, so this post is going to be one really long paragraph! Today I am posting a card for the Impression Obsession Challenge. This time the theme is encouragement....inspiration, thinking of you, graduation, or any other card to show someone you care. With graduation season approaching, I thought I would tackle that theme. To make the card, I used the following stamps: Congratulations B5505 Book-Cap G2335 Cover a Card Medallion CC032 I colored the book and cap with Copic Markers and edged everything with some Venetian Sunrise Fresco Chalk ink.
