Impression Obsession October Release- Day 2

Greetings friends. Today we are going to talk about holiday cookies! In particular, there is a new Frosted Cookies die set as well as new baking and cookie clear stamp sentiment sets.

For the first card, I layered papers from the Winter Fun 6" x 6" paper pack onto my card and then cut out the cookies from kraft cardstock and green paper from the paper pack. I sponged brown ink onto the kraft cut out part to make the cookies looked baked and added glitter to the centers to look like sugar. Here is a close up:

For the next card, I wanted to use sentiments from the Cookies Sayings set. There are two Cookie Monster quotes in that set which would work well with any cookie stamp or sentiment. However, I wanted to try and make a Cookie Monster:

I started with a blue notecard that is cut to be 4 1/4" x 4 1/4." I needed the card to be smaller because I wanted to glue eyes to the top of the card and I wanted the whole thing to still fit into a standard envelope.

I cut out white and black circles for the eyes and cut out a black circle for the mouth. I used a paper trimmer to cut off the top third of the mouth circle. To finish the card, I stamped my Cookie Monster quote at the bottom in white ink.
