IO Challenge- Summer Flowers

Greetings friends.  It is time for another challenge.  This one is all about summer flowers.  Want to join in the fun?  Check out the post on the Impression Obsession blog.  You even have a chance to win a gift certificate!

Today I wanted to share a card I made using the Large Solid Circle as a background.  I find it to be a nice backdrop for any stamping you want to add.  Remember when shadow stamping was a big thing?  This is my tribute to that era.

To add the flowers and leaves, I stamped some directly onto my card and some onto white cardstock and then colored them with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  I chose colors that were nice and bright for summer.  The flowers and leaves are a combination of images from two clear stamp sets by Lindsay Ostrom.  Her images are always so much fun to color. Next, I cut out some of the flowers and popped them up with foam tape and then added my sentiment and some crystal jewels.  Simple!  What is your favorite summer flower?
