Greetings friends. Today I want to share two cards with you. Both of them were created by using strips of colored cardstock to create decorative backgrounds.
Card 1- Everything Feels Grey
My first card I thought was appropriate for the world we are currently living in. It is a really nice sentiment to send to someone who might need a moment of encouragement.
To make the card, I started with a grey notecard, added my scrap strips of cardstock and then added my sentiment. It is a really, really easy card to make.
Card 2- Gratitude Flower
For the second card, I made a background out of strips of pink and red cardstock. I then colored the new Daisy Corner stamp with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image. Hint... I hate cutting, so I didn't cut too close to the lines. I colored any areas around the flower and leaf that were still white with a black marker and colored the areas around the stem with a green copic marker so that you couldn't see the white. To finish the card, I added my sentiment on top of a banner die cut.

Great colorful card! Love that delightful daisy!!!
Great job, I would have thought it was a die cut!
Such caring cards, Laura. Especially like the sentiment on the first card (backing it on gray was a great idea). This week I pulled out all my paper scraps to use some up...your card designs are so timely for me. tfs-stay healthy.
These are great - so warm and loving. Someone will receive lots of paper hugs when they receive these!
WOW, I never would have thought of using the gray on one side, and COLORS on the other. Nice
I love stripes! That gray card is just wonderful!
Pretty cards! Nice sentiment and colors on your first card, and I love that flower on your second card!
Love the Daisy Corner stamp!!! So pretty!!!
How perfect for these days is “Well crap!” Great cards, I’ll need to buy that sentiment.
Fun seeing your work. It is so interesting how you create ways to use up scraps and you create ways to make multiples easily. Love it.
Love the different colors together! That flower is beautiful!
I really enjoy seeing how to make use of colorful scraps and these two card ideas are great.
Such bright cheerful cards - love them
Such cheery card designs. I love the sentiment on the first one too as well as the bright colors. And, the second one is gorgeous as well with all the bright colors and design.
BEAUTIFUL WORK, Laura! I ESPECIALLY LOVE your first card! Your card itself & the sentiment go SO WELL TOGETHER! ;)<3
I love your colorful cards. Pretty daisy and fun color sentiment.
I love both of your cards but the first one is perfect for right now.
I like the look at these for ideas.

first card. Love the flower
with the stripes. Great cards.
thanks for sharing
these cards are lovely - beautiful colors and awesome layouts
Oh, that gray card- what a cool design and perfect sentiment to go with it! Great cards!
Two uplifting colorful cards! We could all use one of those right now!
The daisy corner is fantastic. A beautiful card.
The first card with a touch of grey is our world right now. So, it's a great sentiment and lovely that you added the colors to go with it. There's always going to be a touch of grey no matter what. It's just a lot greyer right now around the world. All the more to spritz it up with some color. [Bunny]
Both cards are amazing but I especially love that first one. The colors are fun and vibrant and the sentiment is perfect!
Super cards. The color striping really adds a punch of color and sets the stage for the stamps.
Pretty card designs with the colorful stripes.
What a great layout on your first card!! Thanks for the inspiration!
The verse on your first card seems like a must have stamp right now. I love how you did the strips of color! Great idea!!
I love your first card. The sentiment really helps with designing something wonderful.
