Greetings friends.  Today I want to share two cards with you. Both of them were created by using strips of colored cardstock to create decorative backgrounds.

Card 1- Everything Feels Grey

My first card I thought was appropriate for the world we are currently living in.  It is a really nice sentiment to send to someone who might need a moment of encouragement.

To make the card, I started with a grey notecard, added my scrap strips of cardstock and then added my sentiment.  It is a really, really easy card to make.

Card 2- Gratitude Flower

For the second card, I made a background out of strips of pink and red cardstock.  I then colored the new Daisy Corner stamp with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image.  Hint...  I hate cutting, so I didn't cut too close to the lines.  I colored any areas around the flower and leaf that were still white with a black marker and colored the areas around the stem with a green copic marker so that you couldn't see the white.  To finish the card, I added my sentiment on top of a banner die cut.

Great job, I would have thought it was a die cut!

Such caring cards, Laura. Especially like the sentiment on the first card (backing it on gray was a great idea). This week I pulled out all my paper scraps to use some up...your card designs are so timely for me. tfs-stay healthy.

Fun seeing your work. It is so interesting how you create ways to use up scraps and you create ways to make multiples easily. Love it.

The daisy corner is fantastic. A beautiful card.

The first card with a touch of grey is our world right now. So, it's a great sentiment and lovely that you added the colors to go with it. There's always going to be a touch of grey no matter what. It's just a lot greyer right now around the world. All the more to spritz it up with some color. [Bunny]
