What are summer colors to you? Do you use hot colors like red and yellow? I chose blue sky and green grass colors along with a whole bunch of floral colors to make this butterfly card.  Here is a close up of the set I used:

To make the card, I started with 140 lb watercolor paper and wet it with a water rectangle in the center. I then added dark blue to the top and bright blue to the bottom to get a gradient of color. I stamped the butterflies directly on top of my sky so that I wouldn't have to cut out the tiny little antennae.

To color the butterfly wings, I stamped the butterflies again onto Copic paper and colored them with Copic markers. I then cut out the wings and glued them onto the butterflies on the card. I would much rather cut out big wings than fussy little antennae.

To finish the card, I added some Summery patterned paper and layered everything onto a green notecard.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
