Impression Obsession Blog Hop- Day 4

Welcome to the 2014 Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Release Blog Hop! We have some beautiful new stamps to share AND Gift Certificates to give away!

The hop will start each day with a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog at 6am EST. Each day pay us a visit there and then head over and see our fabulous IO Design Team’s projects with our new stamps on their blogs (only one comment per blog per day please). The more blogs you visit each day… the better chance you will have to win a $25 Impression Obsession Gift Certificate!!!

Every day (Monday July 28th – August 1st) one of the IO designer blogs will be chosen randomly and a winner will be selected from comments on that blog at 10pm CT. The winner will be announced the following day along with the participating blogs for that day. Two prizes will be awarded on the last day of the hop. One will be for Friday’s comments and another will be chosen from all the comments left throughout the week. So….if you miss a day or time deadline your comments will still count for a chance to win a $25 Impression Obsession Gift Certificate! Both Friday winners will be announced on the IO Blog on Saturday, August 2nd.

If you have any questions please email Jeanne. All of the new stamps you'll be seeing on the hop are available NOW! www.iostamps.com *** Please note*** We are having issues with comments on the Impression Obsession blog so you are not required to post a comment there. Winners will be selected from a participating IO Design Team Member’s blog each day.

So, this may come as no surprise, but I decided to share a watercolor card with you today.  What can I say?  I have really been enjoying painting lately.

For today's card, I stamped the Snowy Branch Cardinal (F7765) in black Versafine ink and colored it with Peerless watercolors.  I then added the Winter Wishes saying (A3589) and the Cover a Card Wood Grain background (CC034).  I find that I like the look of the wood grain stamp best when I stamp it in dark brown ink onto kraft cardstock.

Don't forget to visit the other designers for a chance to comment and win prizes:

Oh my! I love water colouring images on cards but mine are no where near as artistically done as yours! The cardinal looks so pretty against the snow and I like the wood for the background.

THIS was done with WATERCOLORS?!! Seriously?!! WOW! I love it! I would have sworn you used markers and then air brushed the background. It is spectacular! I love the cardinal image too, it is the state bird of where we are currently living (we just moved) so one shall be adorning my holiday cards this year.
