Day 7- IO Sneak Peeks

Well, today is the last day of the sneak peeks, and I wanted to show you perhaps the easiest of the cards to make. I often forget about making one-layer cards, but I really like them. They are definitely a great idea if you have to crank out a lot of Christmas cards!

For my card, I stamped the Hannah Davies Angel (H10014) onto a kraft notecard and embossed it with detail black embossing powder. I then colored the image with some Faber-Castell markers. They don't blend as well as my Copic markers, but they also don't bleed to the inside of the card. To finish, I added some pink pearls and a saying from the All I want for Christmas (CL304) clear set.

Want to see more new IO samples? Check out what Deborah, Dina, Julie, and Jeanne, created. Be sure to visit the various blogs since leaving comments on the design team blogs could win you a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate.

Thanks everyone for spending time on my blog this week and for leaving all the wonderful comments. I hope you had a good time seeing all the new stuff!

You know, I don't know if I've ever made a one layer card, but you've inspired me to try. I love the simplicity of this little work of art.

Well done.

This is just an awesome one layer card! The angel is done so well with the coloring and I'm sure that embossing looks fabulous in real life. Thanks for such awesome inspiration the entire hop!

Wonderful color choices - truly lovely. You are right -- sometimes one layer is best, especially when you can color it up and add touches of pearls and bling. Thank you so much for a great week of hopping by and getting inspired.

What a sweet little angel! Love your CAS card - I also forget to do the one layer cards! Feel like I "MUST" add just one more ribbon, or button, or layer of CS!!! Thanks for a great hop!

Ahhh, she's so cute! Love the added pearl accents! Look at all the Christmas cards you have in your stash now! We all need to do this in July and Christmas would be so much less hectic!

Beautiful CAS card! I love how you colored the angel...didn't realize that Copics bled through. Guess that's another reason I can add to why I don't need them! lol Love the pearl placement and the bling on the wings! Thanks so much for introducing us to these fabulous new images!
