Well, at least inspired by the Impression Obsession blue challenge. The nice thing about this card is that it really takes no time at all to make. I used three stamps and two colors of ink. I didn't do any coloring, which really cuts down on card making time. Here are step by step pictures of the card:
Step 1- start with a medium blue notecard:
Step 2- Stamp the Denim Cover a Card (CC051) onto the blue card:
Step 3- stamp Newsprint Cover a Card (CC068) on top of Denim background:
Finally, I stamped the Ocracoke Lighthouse (F1814) on blue paper with the same blue Versafine ink. The Versafine pads really do pick up small details on stamps!

BRILLIANT card . . .perfect for the male of the species (which are always harder to make for!). I love the little tutorial and . . . WOW . . . that lighthouse stamp might have to go on my shopping list!
Visiting you from Watermelon Sugar's blog.
Have a good day.

What a really wonderful card!...and great CAC tutorial too! Love what you did with the background!
I really like how you used two cover-a-card background stamps Laura...what a lovely card.
Wow, what a wonderful card! I really loved the idea with the two cover-a-card stamps & a really great demonstration too. 8-)
Just saw this card tonight at the make and take at Angela's, it looks really pretty in person - the picture just does not capture the blues and the background stamping that well. Wonderful card, love it when you show the 'step by step'.

This is so pretty. I forgot about that denim background stamp. It is perfect with the newsprint! Great idea.
Pretty and fun all in one card -- I love how you mixed and matched the cover-a-card backgrounds. I have got to do that more often -- just too fun!
