I don't usually post pictures instead of cards, but I couldn't help myself. I was in DC today with my brother for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. It was a beautiful day. Crazy windy, but beautiful. There were actually whitecaps on the Tidal Basin!
The festival provided me with an opportunity to try out my new camera. I thought the detail setting took really great shots of the blooms growing out of the side of a tree as well as the clusters of flowers.
Of course, there were tons of people downtown. Did they have to mess up this picture of the blossoms?! I am trying to convince my brother to photoshop them out for me.
Blossoms and the Washington Monument.
Blossoms and the Jefferson Memorial.
I promise my next post will be of cards. Have a great weekend everyone!

I love, love, love your pictures!
I think you need to add photographer to your resume. Great shots!
I have almost identical shots of the momuments-but my pictures aren't as nice as yours.
Hi, Laura! Post pics all you want if they look like these! They're stunning! I really like the first shot - it is incredibly sharp! But my fave is the cherry blossoms and the Washington Monument. Great framing!
Great photos, looks like you had fun with your brother! I like seeing photos and cards both.
I love seeing photos from far away places. Your photos are amazing I agree you need to add photographer to your list of talents. Btw I've nominated you for a Lemonadestand award hope you don't mind.
You rock! I would sit next to you on the Metro anytime. :)
WoW! I love to see the spring blossoms. (Looking outside at big fat snowflakes) So ready for those blossoms! Beautiful pictures. Glad you did share. :)

How beautiful, Laura, these are just breathtaking. Your first one is so lovely. What camera do you use?
Oh my goodness how amazing!! Gorgeous photos!
WOWZER! The ones of the Monument & the Jefferson should be submitted in some kind of photo contest! They are postcard material!!! Honestly, these are breath-takingly beautiful!
