Greetings friends. Today I am sharing favorites from the February Impression Obsession release. I absolutely love the new Watercolor Mountains (1, 2 and 3). They can be layered on top of each other to create beautiful scenes that are great for so many occasions. For this particular card, I only used mountain 2 and 3.
To make the card, I started by stamping the mini slimline cloud stamp onto white cardstock using sky blue ink. I then stamped the Watercolor Mountain 2 on top with Blue Spruce ink and finished with Watercolor Mountain 3 in Pine ink. I usually don't list the exact colors of ink I use, but I tried to get the mountains to look like the Blue Ridge Skyline, and I wanted to let you know which colors I used for that particular look. Of course, you can stamp the mountains any color you want depending on the geography you want to recreate.
To finish the card, I die cut a slimline tag and added my sentiment to be popped up on the card with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I love layering cards! These might have jumped to the top of my wish list. Thanks for the idea with your beautiful, calm card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how these stamps created a fabulous scene.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this nature scene. This is just my style.
ReplyDeleteSerene Scene!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great set to have in my stash. I love the versatility of a layered stamp and you can leave it as-is, or use it as a background for other images. So peaceful too.
ReplyDeleteGASP! This IO stamp is spectacular! WOW, speechless in how you colored it. I love this. It certainly would have been a piece that my dad would have "sketched" on a napkin to remember! Spectacular beauty. I would love to see this in person. It reminds me of my dad, I miss him. I can see why this is your favorite!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scene! So peaceful!
ReplyDeleteI love this very scenic card. It reminds of standing in the Grand Teton National park and looking the scene below and around me.
