I like that the penguins are great for winter as well as Christmas.
Whenever I think of penguins, I think black/white. I didn't know how it would translate to a winter card, but I wanted to give it a go. I stamped my penguin in black Memento ink and then colored elements of the image with pink and red Copic markers to really contrast with the black and white. I then cut out my design by hand.
For the background, I used two Cover a Card backgrounds. I really love mixing and matching my stamp patterns, so I chose a standard snowflake one to represent winter and then paired it with one of my favorite abstract designs called Marble Scribble. Here is what the two patterns look like:
Do you have favorite patterns that you like to mix and match? I am always looking for new ideas.
