Greetings friends. Today I want to share a couple of black cat cards using the new Black Cat Love stamp set in anticipation of Halloween.
For the first card, I paired one of the cats with the new cardboard box die. Of course the box would be perfect for a gift/birthday card, but is a box complete without a cat sitting in it?
To make the card, I cut out the box using kraft cardstock and added a bit of shading with a colored pencil along the edges. I stamped my cat in black ink on white cardstock, cut out the cat and stuck him in the box.
As a finishing touch, I added three strips of washi tape and my sentiment.
The second card is a quick and easy card. I started with a white cardstock panel, stamped three of the cats on it using black ink and added a little yellow to the eyes using a yellow colored pencil. I then layered all the pieces and added my sentiment in black ink.

I think these cards are my faves because the cats look so much like one of mine! And the box is a great thing to use many ways with different things popping out! Fun stuff in the new release!

Great cards. The box card would be perfect for my friend who is in the process of moving. She has boxes all over and her cats are delighted. The washi tape is a great way to ground the box.
