Today the Impression Obsession team is celebrating older stamps that you may or may not have seen before. If you would like a full list of participating designers, you can visit the Impression Obsession Blog.
My card today is a shaped belated birthday card that highlights a favorite sentiment of mine:
There really aren't a lot of components to the card. It is a round red card that I sponged some IO Deep Rose and Brick ink to the outside edges. I wanted to give the impression that my ball was round by adding a little shading.
To construct the card, I cut out two pieces of light red cardstock using a large circle die. For the back piece, I scored a line at the top to create a hinge. To attach the back to the front, I added some tape on the hinge (nowhere else) and taped the two pieces together at the top. The hinge is needed so the card opens properly.
For the inside of the card, I added my favorite belated birthday sentiment:
Thanks for stopping by today!

I love both stamps! That's the cutest card, and I would love a person who sent it to me and made me smile. =)
