Greetings friends! Today I wanted to show you three different Halloween cards using the new Fall/Winter stamps and dies. I absolutely love making Halloween cards!
I don't think my first card is what Jeanne had in mind when she designed the sentiment, but I knew instantly that I wanted to do a play on words with the "boos." I combined the new Boos sentiment with the new Two Ghosts die. For the background, I used a Cover a Card background in purple Versafine ink onto a purple notecard. For the layers, I diecut dark purple and lime green cardstock with the Cute Scalloped Rectangles die set. Finally, all of the coctails and cocktail embellishments come from the Mixed Drinks die set. It is hard to tell from the photo, but I added some clear glaze pen to the cocktails to make them look like glass.
Items Used:
Boos A5709
Two Ghosts die DIE1040-G
Mixed Drinks Set DIE 185-H (currently on sale)
Cute Scalloped Rectangles DIE975-V
Cover a Card Fusion 1 CC109
I fell in love with this Linday Ostrom image of Trick or Treaters. They are just so much fun to color! I decided to go with Copic markers to get a variety of costume color and skintones. Once again, it is hard to tell from the picture, but I added clear gel pen to two sets of wings and sparkly glitter glue to two sets of wings. It's for Halloween.....there has to be some bling!
Items Used:
Trick or Treaters F12267
Trick or Treat 2 (sentiment) C21353
For my final card, I colored several skulls using Zig Clean Color pens and a waterbrush. I also created a background using two different Cover a Card patterns. I started with a grey notecard and stamped the Small Quatrefoil on top with grey ink before adding the Grid pattern using black ink. Does anyone else enjoy building their own backgrounds out of various patterns?
