Greetings friends.  Today is all about.....monsters! The two cards I am sharing are both using the clear set called Monster Mash (CL886) as well as the Monster Mash (C14744) sentiment.  I also chose to use two of the new Cover a card backgrounds for the cards.
In the card above, I stamped the three monsters onto 140lb watercolor paper with black Versafine ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush markers and a waterbrush.  I cut out the monsters and popped them onto a card that I had stamped with the new Marble Scribble (CC334) Cover a Card background.  I love this background!  It adds such nice texture and will go with any occasion.  I can't wait to use it with bright Distress Inks and do a rainbow colored background for a birthday card.
Here is a look at the background:
And what it looks like on the card:
For my second card, I once again used my Zig markers and a waterbrush:

This time though, I paired it with the new Ribbon Weave (CC333) Cover a Card background.  I will going into this background in much detail tomorrow.  I am really drawn to "practical" backgrounds that can be used over and over, and this one really does that!
This is what the background looks like:
Here is a close up (although you will see it better tomorrow in samples):

Ah, yeah!!! New I could get some background magic here :-) I overlooked the Squiggle background during my first look at the new release, but I need to reconsider! Now that I see it in use, I see how it could be more versatile than I originally thought. I can see that being good for get well cards too ;-) Can't wait to see more on the Ribbon Weave tomorrow!

Such cute little monsters and I’m loving that big background stamp. Now I’m singing the Monster Mash song. I like to have that as my ring tone at Halloween ! Lol

I love both of these cards! The monsters are really cute, I need to remember to use my tombow markers with a waterbrush like this, I always forget that this is an option. Also, love that first background, would love to get that one.

I LOVE these monsters!!! They just make me grin. Your color choices make them pop and I love the way you use background stamps - I've been using designer paper most of the time lately, but I can see that I need to dust my stamps off and use them because they add a great look of dimension. Great cards!
