IO Challenge- Friendship Flowers

Greetings friends.  Is there anything better than friends and flowers?  What a great combination.  For my card today, I used the new Iris Duo stamp paired with the Near to my Heart sentiment.

To make the background, I smooshed purple and blue Distress Oxide pads onto a nonstick craft sheet and spritzed it with water. Next, I dragged a piece of white cardstock through the ink puddles until I got a background that I liked.  Once the watercolor paper was dry, I stamped my sentiment onto the background with black Versfine ink.

For the irises, I stamped them onto 140lb watercolor paper with black Versafine ink and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and a waterbrush.  Once they were dry, I fussy-cut them out and glued them onto my decorative background.

Impression Obsession stamps used:
Iris Duo J13663
Near to my Heart C13453

If you hadn't left a little piece of the iris hanging off the edge like you did, I would never have guessed you fussy cut around it; but then my mind would be trying to figure out how you colored the green leaves after making that gorgeous background. Beautiful!
