Greetings friends.  For my card today, I used the new Floral Ornament die as well as some glitter and Copic markers.

I first cut the die from gold metallic paper and placed some super-sticky tape (from Elizabeth Crafts) behind the openings and covered the entire piece with ultra fine glitter.  This is what the project then looked like:

Next, I dabbed various glitter sections with an assortment of Copic markers. This technique works because I used really strong tape that held the glitter in place and used ultrafine glitter that didn't mess up my marker nibs.  Here is the colored ornament.  I hope you can see that the glitter shines through the Copic marker:

To finish the card, I popped up the ornament with foam tape, added a bow, and stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Words Cling set.

Don't forget to visit the other designers for more inspiration and chances to win prizes!

This is really a beautiful, detailed die and you've enhanced it even further by adding your coloring on the glitter. I love the various shades of green. What a cool idea! Thanks for the share.

Absolutely stunning! I actually bought my COPIC markers because of a class where we colored over EC glitter! Now I need to go do that!

I've made some of the Elizabeth Craft
ornaments with the fine glitter.
Hadn't thought about using that
technique on die cuts. Going to
try that out. Makes a beautiful
ornament.
thanks for sharing.

That die is so pretty! I've done a similar technique with line stickers but I like the idea of doing it with dies so you never have to worry about running out. And you can pick your color each time. I think this die looks pretty with even just the plain white glitter!!!
