Greetings friends.  Today is all about Halloween/Fall dies.  I really enjoy making Halloween cards, so today I chose to focus exclusively on Halloween and will show you Fall tomorrow.

For my first card,  I used a Candy Corn monster along with one of the new background dies.  Every year I can't resist making a candy corn inspired card despite the fact that I don't actually eat candy corn.  The monster's name is Cornelia D19290 and she was colored with Copic markers.  The new dotted background is called Circle Background DIE 456-YY and was colored with the same colors as the monster.  If Halloween isn't your thing, you could put any image you like in the center and add colored dots in the background.  I have a feeling that the dotted background could be used for pretty much any occasion.

Copic Markers- Y15 Cadmium Yellow, YR16 Apricot, Y38 Honey, C1 Cool Grey 1

My second card is probably the creepiest Halloween card I have ever made.  I have several friends who love the "Walking Dead" that I had in mind when I designed it.  It uses the new Zombie Edger DIE453-U die as well as the Drip Edger DIE451-I die.  I made the drip into blood, but it could just as easily be used to make paint drips or melting ice.  To finish the card I used the Turn Back B14481 sentiment.

Don't forget to follow the others on the hop!

  2. I love the candy corn monster, Cornelia. I like that you can add coordinating colors to that circle die to really add a lot of pop to a card. The second card is wonderfully creepy for Halloween and I know someone who could be tickled pink to receive it. It's perfect with that sentiment! IO is the best! Thanks for sharing your creativity! kReN@afourthlife

  23. I agree with you that the first background die could be used for many occasions and color combos. It made a cute Halloween card. Not a fan of "Walking Dead" even though it is filmed here in Ga. So I'll pass on the second card. Thanks.
