Greetings friends. The new May stamp kit has lots of beautiful images and sentiments, but I unfortunately needed a sympathy card, so that is what I made. Be sure to visit all the participating designers this week because there is nothing better than having a new set of stamps and getting very different inspirational card ideas from other cardmakers.

To make my card, I stamped one of the flowers onto white cardstock paper with black Memento ink and then colored it with Copic markers. I had the rare chance to use my neon/fluorescent Copic markers on this card because the image is very detailed and there were a lot of black lines. I find that using a really bright marker or pencil works well for this type of image so that the color doesn't blend in with the lines.

After I colored the petals with the markers, I added extra detail to the petals with a yellow Prismacolor pencils. I added a little blue copic marker around the flowers to make them pop and added some clear dew drops for embellishment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
