IO Theme- Snow

We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month’s theme is snow!

Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

Greetings friends! Have you had snow yet? It has been pretty dry/warm in my neck of the woods. I do love the look of a wintry, snowy card though!

For my card, I first spritzed a navy card with a white texture spray that added a little dimension to the background. I thought it looked a lot like snow.

Next, I stamped my bear onto white cardstock with black memento ink and colored him with Copic markers. I cut out a snowbank freehand to stamp my sentiment, added a little glitter glue to the top of the snowbank and added my bear that I had fussy-cut using detail scissors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Impression Obsession Holiday Dies

We have set aside a day to share some fabulous new Impression Obsession die projects! Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Greetings friends! Today I want to share with you a couple of dies that I use a lot for Christmas cards. I have a lot of larger Christmas sentiments, but when I use them, I don't know what to do with the rest of the card. The saying takes up a lot of space and there isn't a lot of room to add extra images.

One solution I use is to cut out a large frame to highlight the sentiment. In this case, I used the Large Frame die to cut out glitter paper to go around my sentiment. The snowflakes are nice because they are smaller in size and will still fit on the card. They are also generic enough that they work for the holidays as well as winter birthdays, thank you notes, etc.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Greetings friends. Today I want to share another holiday card using the same sentiment as yesterday's card.

To make the card, I used the Flourishes Cover a Card stamp, inked it with Distress Ink, spritzed it and stamped it on white cardstock. I repeated the process multiple times without reinking the stamp. Each time I stamped my background, the end result was fainter in color and the lines were less distinct. I chose one of the lighter backgrounds for this cart.

Next, I stamped my trees onto 140lb watercolor paper and colored them with watercolor paints. I cut out the trees and added them to my card along with the sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Greetings friends! Somehow December has arrived. I swear it was just September. The IO team wants to share some holiday cards with you in case you are still looking for ideas.

To make the card, I started with the pinked edge frame and cut out my decorative frame using white glitter paper.

For the snowman, I stamped the image onto 140lb watercolor paper with black archival ink and colored him with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush. To finish the card, I added my sentiment and popped up the frame using foam tape. I was in the mood to have a bright and happy card today, so I hope you liked it.

Thanks for stopping by. There will be a new holiday card tomorrow.
