Impression Obsession Die Cut Day

We have set aside a day to share some fabulous new Impression Obsession die projects! Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Well howdy there partners! Today is die cut day for Impression Obsession, and I thought I would share a Christmas card I made with the new Country Snowman die. He is so cute. There are even new sentiments that pair perfectly with the die.

Whenever I cut out dies, I often cut them out in all white and then color the individual pieces with markers instead of cutting out each individual piece with different colors of paper. I colored all of the snowman accessories with Copic markers and then assembled my character.

For the background, I wet a piece of 140lb watercolor paper in the shape of a rectangle and then added some blue, green and purple watercolor paint. When everything was dry, I added my sentiment. Here is what the set looks like:

Greetings friends. Today I want to share my favorite item from the new Impression Obsession release. It is the Just Chillin' clear stamp set, which features cute penguins and coordinating sentiments. Here is what the set looks like:

I like that the penguins are great for winter as well as Christmas.

Whenever I think of penguins, I think black/white. I didn't know how it would translate to a winter card, but I wanted to give it a go. I stamped my penguin in black Memento ink and then colored elements of the image with pink and red Copic markers to really contrast with the black and white. I then cut out my design by hand.

For the background, I used two Cover a Card backgrounds. I really love mixing and matching my stamp patterns, so I chose a standard snowflake one to represent winter and then paired it with one of my favorite abstract designs called Marble Scribble. Here is what the two patterns look like:

Do you have favorite patterns that you like to mix and match? I am always looking for new ideas.

IO Theme Day- Christmas

We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month’s theme is Christmas! After all, who doesn't need more Christmas ideas?

Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

Greetings friends! Have you started making your Christmas cards yet? I wanted to share a card I made with you for the holidays.

To make the card, I stamped the new All Roads Truck onto Copic XPress It paper using black Memento Ink. I then masked my truck and stamped the road underneath. I have been using the road stamp a lot lately because it really grounds the scene.

After coloring the truck with Copic markers, I layered my scene onto a background I stamped with one of the IO backgrounds and added a few rhinestones to the tree for extra bling.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Greetings friends Welcome to day 2 of the new release. Today I wanted to share a really cute new deer die with you. Of course, there are cute coordinating puns! Here is what they all say:

Yes, it makes me so happy! The card is really easy to make in that all I had to do was die cut my deer pieces, assemble them and add some red ribbon. I also stamped the left hand leaf pattern using a new Cover a Card background called Snowflakes Leaves.

Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings friends! Impression Obsession has new slimline designs. Many of them are perfect for creating backgrounds for fall/winter/holidays. Today I decided to focus on the new winter birds set. it has a row of bare trees I used in the background with light gray ink and a foreground image with nests and birds I stamped in the front using black ink.
Here is a picture of the two stamps:
The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and a little spritz of water to give the background some dimension. As a final touch, I added my sentiment in black ink.
