What?! A Halloween card in July? I couldn't help it! the July release had a spider web in it, and it is my favorite stamp of the latest release. Halloween cards are my favorite to make and there was a brand new spider web stamp that is designed for slimline cards. The nicest part is that you can also cut it smaller if you want to make a standard A2 card. You will be seeing this stamp again in some of my upcoming cards with future releases...hint...spoiler alert.

To make the card, I added my web in black ink and then layered my Halloween lanterns on top using some foam tape and black twine. As a finishing touch, I added my sentiment along with a few orange rhinestones.

What is your favorite card making season?

IO Theme Day- At the Beach

We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month’s theme is "At the Beach."
Have fun checking out what our designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

Greetings friends. For this month's "At the Beach" challenge, I wanted to create a card with my mom in mind. She loves her lighthouses, so this card is definitely for her.

To make the card, I used removable tape to create my horizon and sponged blue underneath the line. Next, I masked a circle on the horizon and stamped the rays in light brown ink on top. I sponged colors to make my sunrise and then removed my circle mask. As a final step, I stamped my lighthouse in dark brown ink. The lighthouse and grass are actually part of the same stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Greetings friends. It is day two of the hop and I hope you have been inspired. Today I am posting a super-easy slimline card. It is simply brayered Kaliedacolor ink on white glossy cardstock that I then overstamped with my sandcastle in black. This is a really quick card if you need to crank out a few in a short amount of time.

Don't forget that the sentiment is on sale through the 14th, even though it is a new release item. Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings friends! Can you believe it is July and the year is already half over? It is also time to share the latest release from Impression Obsession.

I chose this card for Day 1 because I really love the sentiment and am always looking for ideas to make supportive cards. I also wanted to share it at the beginning of the month because the current sale on the IO site is 25% off nautical items. It never seems to happen that items from the new release are part of the themed sale, but this time some of them are. If there are any that interest you, now is a good time to get them since it is rare for new items to be sold at a discount.

For my card today, I started with 140lb watercolor paper and stamped the waterlines in the middle of the card using blue Versafine ink. I then placed a circle mask that I cut out from a circle die on top of the lines to make it look as though there was a sun at the horizon. I then colored around the mask with blue watercolor pencil and a blender pen. I removed the mask and colored the circle with yellow watercolor paint. To add a bit of color to the water, I painted the waves with blue watercolor paint. Once everything was dry, I stamped my birds onto the sky and added my sentiment on a die cut tag.

Thanks so much for visiting today!
