Impression Obsession Die Cut Obsession

Greetings friends. We have set aside a day to share some fabulous new Impression Obsession die projects! Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Today I wanted to share a birthday card with everyone. After all, who doesn't need birthday cards on hand? It uses the new Party Hat die. I like this die because it can be used for birthday cards for pretty much anyone from age 1-100.

To make the card, I started by creating a background using a striped stencil on top of kraft cardstock. I sponged it with Distress Oxide inks and then spritzed the whole thing to give it a speckled appearance.

Next, I cut out my hat die using teal cardstock and popped the bottom part up with foam tape to add a little dimension. All that was left was to add my birthday message.

Thanks for stopping by today!

IO Theme Day- Red, White and Blue

We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month’s theme is red, white and blue!

Have fun checking out what our designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

Greetings friends. Last week I shared a 4th of July card, which of course, was red, white and blue in color. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to make a card with the color scheme that wasn't also a card for the 4th. I chose to use fruit because I like the bright red of the berries and the current themed sale on the IO Website is "fruit," so the stamp and dies I used are 25% off through the end of June.

To make the card, I stamped my cupcake onto white cardstock using black Memento ink and then colored it with Copic markers and shaded it with a little Prismacolor pencil. I fussy cut the cupcake, added a little glitter and popped it up onto the card with some foam tape. Here is a close up:

To finish my card, I die cut some small strawberries and added my sentiment.

What about your guys? What kind of cards do you make with a red, white and blue theme?

Greetings friends. Today we are sharing our favorites from the June release. If you know me, my favorites are usually either funny or very practical. Today's choice is the later.

I absolutely love the new Big Numbers die set because it is just so practical. You can highlight certain events like specific birthdays or anniversaries as well as celebrate your favorite holidays. I chose the 4 to make a 4th of July card, but I know I will be using it for October 31st and December 25th card.

To make the card, I first created a background with that was stamped with a Cover a Card image and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush. I made a series of these backgrounds so that I could use them throughout the year.

Next, I added some stars and my die cut letters/numbers

Greetings friends. Today I am sharing a card with this super-cute puppy. I just love him! Of course, I was also happy that IO came out with a new clear stamp set featuring animal puns that coordinated so well with this card. You know I love my puns!

To make the card, I stamped my dog onto white cardstock with black Memento ink and highlighted him a bit with some Copic markers. There really wasn't a lot of coloring to do. I then stamped and colored his party hat and cut out both pieces by hand. I then layered them on top of some patterned plaid paper and added my balloon and sentiment. Party!

PS...these are the sentiments that come in the "punny" set:

Greetings friends. Today we are sharing the June release with you. There are a lot of birthday dies and stamps, so you will want to give them a look. I don't know about you, but I always need birthday card ideas!

Today's card is a nice clean and simple card. It uses a balloon die that is cut using paper covered with alcohol inks as well as a glittery birthday message. All you need to do is add a little bling to finish off the look.

Impression Obsession- Old is New

Sometimes we get so busy with new released stamps that we forget about our old favorites. The Impression Obsession team has set aside a days this month to share some new projects using some great older stamps. You can see the list of today’s participants on the Impression Obsession Blog

Greetings friends. Today I want to share  "fairy sweet" card with you. It is such a cute image to color.

To make the card, I stamped the Fairy Cup Flower design onto white cardstock using black Memento ink and then colored it with Copic markers. It is really hard to tell from the picture, but I colored the wings with a bit of Wink of Stella marker so that they had some sparkle.

To finish the card, I added the Pinked Edge Frame die and popped it up with a little foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
