IO- Be Crafty Theme

We have set aside a day to share some fun themed projects! This month’s theme is "Be Crafty!" Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog

For my card, you can position the palette in any direction you want. I chose to have it towards the middle with the paint running down to the bottom of the card. I used my Peerless watercolor paints to color the image and then added a lot of extra water so that the paint would drip.

I don't know about you, but my crafty friends are the ones that appreciate cards the most. I have a lot of crafty sisters that deserve to receive regular mailings.

Have a great day!

Greetings friends. Today the designers are all sharing favorite stamps from the February release. I was really drawn to a couple of sentiments in this latest batch of images. Perhaps it is strange to select sentiments instead of pictures, but I know I will use these two stamps a lot. I think that might be how you define "favorite."

The first sentiment is one I will be sending to all my girlfriends. I think think it is beautifully empowering. I stamped the quote over an Impression Obsession cloud background and added some washi road tape and some grass cut from an Impression Obsession die. Very simple!

The second card uses the "Inking of You" sentiment. Isn't it fantastic?! It is going to be used on all my leftover crafting pieces for a quick and easy card. I have so many crafting buddies that I know will love this. For my card, I stamped various Impression Obsession splotches in different colors. It look me less than 5 minutes, but I think it was my favorite card I made from the release.

Impression Obsession- Old is New

Today the Impression Obsession team is celebrating older stamps that you may or may not have seen before. If you would like a full list of participating designers, you can visit the Impression Obsession Blog.

My card today is a shaped belated birthday card that highlights a favorite sentiment of mine:

There really aren't a lot of components to the card. It is a round red card that I sponged some IO Deep Rose and Brick ink to the outside edges. I wanted to give the impression that my ball was round by adding a little shading.

To construct the card, I cut out two pieces of light red cardstock using a large circle die. For the back piece, I scored a line at the top to create a hinge. To attach the back to the front, I added some tape on the hinge (nowhere else) and taped the two pieces together at the top. The hinge is needed so the card opens properly.

For the inside of the card, I added my favorite belated birthday sentiment:

Thanks for stopping by today!

Yesterday I posted a big squeeze card and today I am posting a hug card. I am sensing a theme in what I want to stamp lately.

To make the card, I once again made my own background using the Tapestry 2 Cover a Card in purple ink. For the central image, I colored her with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush. To finish, I added a few circle dots. Now I just need to send it to someone who could really use a hug.

Greetings friends. It is a new month and therefore, it is time for a new Impression Obsession release.

I decided to start with sending hugs to a friend. Don't all of us need hugs right about now?

To make the card, I started by stamping the gingham background onto green cardstock using green ink. The item number for the gingham background is 006, so you could say that it is one of the OG background. I have used it for so many years! It is so easy to simply change the color and get a completely different look.

For the lemon image, I cut out some 140lb watercolor paper using the eyelet circle die and then stamped my image using black archival ink. Next, I colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush.and popped up my sentiment with some foam tape.
