Greetings friends. So far I have shown you Easter cards for Spring, but now I feel like it is time for a St. Patrick's card.
Today's card is all about Copic coloring. Here is a breakdown of all the colors I used to color the Irish dancer (named Bailey O'Beebop):
Dancer's skin- E000, E00, E02, R20 (cheeks)
Dancer's hair- note...I did a "scribble" motion when coloring to give the impression of curls- Y21, YR21, YR24, YR18
Dancer's dress- G09, G12, G14, G17, Y15
Highlight around dancer- B0000, B00
Shadow under dancer- C1, C3
To make the background, I layered two Cover a Card backgrounds to get a look that resembled patterned paper. First, I stamped the Distressed Denim background onto white cardstock using Pistachio ink. Next, I stamped the Shamrocks background on top with Shamrock colored ink
As a finishing touch, I added a strip of medium green cardstock in the middle and stamped one of the borders from the Lindsay Borders clear stamp set. I absolutely love that border set. It is an older release, but I use those borders all the time to add finishing touches to my cards.
Items Used on Card:
Bailey O' Beebop D19969
St. Patrick's C19957 (on inside of card)
Distressed Denim Cover a Card CC051
Shamrocks Cover a Card CC153
Lindsay Borders CL766
Pistachio ink
Shamrock ink
Copic markers
Don't forget to visit the Impression Obsession blog to see the list of designers participating in the hop.
Also, don't forget to leave a comment to this post. I will choose one comment at random this week to win a $25 Impression Obsession gift card. Good luck.
