Greetings friends.  For my card today, I used the new Floral Ornament die as well as some glitter and Copic markers.

I first cut the die from gold metallic paper and placed some super-sticky tape (from Elizabeth Crafts) behind the openings and covered the entire piece with ultra fine glitter.  This is what the project then looked like:

Next, I dabbed various glitter sections with an assortment of Copic markers. This technique works because I used really strong tape that held the glitter in place and used ultrafine glitter that didn't mess up my marker nibs.  Here is the colored ornament.  I hope you can see that the glitter shines through the Copic marker:

To finish the card, I popped up the ornament with foam tape, added a bow, and stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Words Cling set.

Don't forget to visit the other designers for more inspiration and chances to win prizes!

  27. That die is so pretty! I've done a similar technique with line stickers but I like the idea of doing it with dies so you never have to worry about running out. And you can pick your color each time. I think this die looks pretty with even just the plain white glitter!!!
