Today I want to talk about combining Cover a Card designs to make your own customized background paper. After all, why use one background when you can use two, three, or more?
To make my background, I first sponged blue PanPastel chalk onto a white piece of cardstock. I stamped the Crackle background on top in Versamark ink and then sponged it with the same color of PanPastel chalk to get a tone on tone look. To add a bit more dimension, I then stamped the Wavy Stitches background on top in Majestic Blue Versafine ink to create my own patterned design. The possibilities really are endless when you start combining the various patterns.
For the central image, I stamped a cake from the Birthday Party clear set and a sentiment from the Let's Party clear set. The pink cake was colored with watercolor pencils and a blender pen and the plate area was colored with some Prismacolor pencils.
Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to visit the other designers!
