IO- Die Cut Obsession

Greetings friends.  I wanted to share with you a couple of the new Impression Obsession dies.  I made this card primarily for myself.  Days have been up and down, and I need to remind myself to focus on the positive rather than the negative.

To make the card, I used the new Rainbow Frame die.  I cut it out in white and then colored the stripes with Copic markers.  I often prefer to color the die cut pieces with markers rather than cut out the die multiple times using different colors of cardstock.

I also added one of the dies from the Postage Cuts set as a backdrop for the rainbow.  I liked the decorative edges of the postage stamp frame to add interest to the design.

To finish the card, I added some clouds and popped up the smallest cloud with foam tape.  I also added some glitter pen to the rainbow to make it sparkle:

Thanks for stopping by today!

IO Challenge- Play With Your Food

Greetings friends.  It is time for another IO challenge, and this time the theme is "Play With Your Food."  Food themes are always fun.  They can be seasonal, celebratory, or even quarantined related.  If you want to learn more about the challenge so that you can join us, be sure to check out the Impression Obsession blog.

For my card, I made a watermelon card using some of the new summer stamps.  I feel like I make an annual watermelon card.  I absolutely love the watermelon look.  Funny note about that...I hate the smell and taste of watermelon.  It seems strange that I want to decorate everything in it for summer!

To make the card, I stamped my watermelon slice and sentiment onto white cardstock.  I colored the slice with Copic markers and then created a background of watermelon seeds.  The seeds were made from a clear heart stamp that I cut in half.

Impression Obsession Challenge- Mom Rules!

Greetings friends.  Mothers Day is approaching, and now is a great time to think about how much they rule.  If you would like to join the challenge, you can find all of the information over on the Impression Obsession blog.  You will also find a list of all the participating designers.

I have to say, moms do a lot for everyone, and I'm not so sure they always get the credit they deserve.

To make my card, I stamped the woman and both sentiments onto Copic Blending Cardstock using black Memento ink.  All three stamps are from the same clear stamp set.  I then colored the woman with an assortment of Copic markers.

The background was created with 140lb watercolor paper and painted with stripes of various watercolor paints.  I tried to color the towels using marker colors that matched my background.

Overall, pretty simple card!
